Myth by Xanthe Hutchinson
Award-winning Yorkshire based photographer Xanthe Hutchinson creates dreamlike imagery with a fascinating implied narrative, using both digital and analogue photography.
Inspired by high-fashion, photography and literature, Xanthe graduated with a First-class Honours degree in photography in 2010 and is currently an Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photographers. 'Myth' is her first solo exhibition and Brass Gallery is proud to introduce this rising star of high-fashion photography.

Xanthe's work has been published internationally in fashion magazines including Papercut, Nine Live, Style Me Up, and on the cover of Sideview Magazine's current Global Issue. Nationally, her work has featured in photographic journals and creative periodicals.
This talented photographer has exhibited at the Dean Clough Gallery, The London Olympia and the A&D Gallery, London. Her work has also featured in national gallery tours as part of the current National Phot¬ographic Awards and the Nikon Discovery Awards. Her exhibition at Brass Gallery is her first solo presentation.
Xanthe has received prizes at The Fujifilm Student Awards, The BIPP Regional Print Awards, The Nikon Discovery Awards, and has recently been awarded Bronze in the European BIPP/Towergate Fine Art Photographic Prize 2010 and the BIPP Best Student Portfolio Prize 2010 at the National Photographic Awards.
