Brass Launch Campaign For Greener Travel
North Yorkshire County Council has chosen Brass to develop a new campaign to encourage visitors and workers in Harrogate to take more sustainable travel options.
As part of the Harrogate Sustainable Travel Programme, the project will include brand development, and the launch of a Smartphone app and website that will help people to plan trips and have real-time guidance using a journey finder. The digital assets will be supported by a communications programme to drive awareness and usage. The campaign will include local press and magazine advertising, direct mail, outdoor advertising and digital activity.
Commenting on the campaign Helen Edwards, head of communications at North Yorkshire County Council said:
This work will seek to encourage leisure visitors and local residents to consider greener alternatives for their journeys in Harrogate, whether that is a trip to the Great Yorkshire Show, a business conference or shopping and entertainment in Harrogate.
The Harrogate Sustainable Travel Programme is a £1.65m three year programme that will improve greener alternatives in the famous spa town. It will see improvements to pedestrian and cycle routes, along with the promotion of public transport alternatives.
