Brass Agency

For the next month the Samba spirit will be taking a firm hold in Headingley as Leeds marketing agency Brass celebrates the 2014 World Cup by changing its name to Brassil for the duration of the tournament.

From today (12 June) to 13 July 2014, the agency previously known as Brass will be re-branded as Brassil including a new domain name leading to a dedicated page on the company website. The whole agency is decorated to reflect its new Brassilian style and a host of fun events will be taking place every day including daily inter-agency penalty shoot outs in aid of Leeds Children’s Charity

Manager of team Brassil, Morgincha, otherwise known as chief executive, John Morgan said:

At Brass we love sport and we’re very excited about the World Cup so we decided to do something to bring it to life, have some fun and raise some much needed funds for a very deserving Leeds charity.

When everyone came into work this morning they found Brass transformed into Brassil with fan packs for every member of staff to decorate their desks, home and away dressing rooms and the whole agency divided into world cup teams – to correspond with the teams taking part in the World Cup. Penalty shoot outs reflecting the World Cup fixtures – will kick off later today with Brazil v Croatia.

As well as the new company name all Brassil team members will be changing their names to their Brassilian equivalent for the whole month. World cup matches will be shown in the agency and as well as the penalty shoot outs there will be a hotly contested Panini World Cup Sticker Competition.

Morgincha added:

We had a fantastic reaction from our team of Brassilians when they came in this morning and heard the strains of Samba playing through the agency and saw the Brassilian re-brand for the first time. I’m sure everyone will get behind this and help us reach our fundraising target of £1,000 for Leeds Children’s Charity.

Verlie McCann, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, at Leeds Children’s Charity said:

On behalf of all the trustees of the Leeds Children’s Charity, I would like to thank everyone who has been involved with the organisation of this amazing fundraising event.

We always encourage our supporters to have fun and to enjoy the activity that is raising money to help disadvantaged children. The children who will benefit all live in Leeds and have little hope or expectation due to their home situations. I can confirm that the money raised from this event will be used to provide much needed respite for children who would not otherwise have the opportunity to leave the City. Many thanks to everyone at Brass for their amazing support and generosity.
