Footie fundraiser reaches fever pitch
Samba spirit, penalty shootouts and a special re-brand were just some of the ways in which Brass got into the spirit and excitement of the World Cup season.
Having renamed itself ‘Brassil’ for the entire month, in celebration of the global football phenomenon, staff set about decorating their desks and cheering each other on in supposedly friendly but actually rather competitive table football tournaments.
Live match screenings and a hotly anticipated Panini World Cup Sticker Competition were also part of the game plan – back of the net!
But footie and fun weren’t the only players on the pitch; raising money for a local good cause was also an important goal.
The agency scored an impressive £1,000 for Leeds Children’s Charity, which provides holidays for underprivileged children who wouldn’t otherwise have the best childhood memories.
Verlie McCann, Chair of the Board of Trustees, says:
The children who will benefit from Brassil’s fundraising efforts all live locally and have little hope or expectation due to their home situations. Many thanks to everyone for their amazing support and generosity.
