What one thing springs to mind when you think ‘Financial Director’?

That’s right… Rock and Roll!!

Today Brass bid a very fond farewell to one of our longest serving Brasscals, John Knibbs, the man who put the (pay) roll in rock and roll.

To bid John so long, some of the Brasscals put together a video message and a rather tuneful musical dedication to the rugby-loving, ACDC fan who’s been responsible for many a Brasscal’s musical education, as well as for us all getting paid.

And we had some croissants.

Nothing says rock and roll like croissants (with a nice slice of cantaloupe melon).

Speeches were spoken, funny stories were shared and fond memories were recalled.

But what of the man himself?

True to character, he couldn’t have been more moved by the celebrations…

Bye bye Knibbsy. Keep on rocking all over the world (but mainly Knaresborough). You’ll be missed.
