Brass has been appointed by Aviko, one of the world's largest producers of potato products.

With a market share in Europe of 20%, Aviko has charged Brass with helping it to promote its UK and Eire foodservice business and increase its market share against competitors such as McCain, Lamb Weston and Farm Frites.

Brass will be providing fully integrated marketing support including advertising, insight, field marketing, direct mail and promotional marketing.

The two key priority markets it will be targeting are the education sector, with the Aviko Steam & Fresh range and the full service arena focusing on freetrade pubs with a diverse range of value added potato products.

Brass was appointed after a three way pitch and work will begin on the six figure account in February.

Aviko is part of Royal Cosun, which was set up by Dutch farmers over 100 years ago and now has an annual turnover of more than EUR 1.7 billion.
